#2DG_drug - New medicine approved by DGCI for the treatment of Corona Virus

In the midst of the Corona crisis, another drug has been approved to fight the disease in the country. DCGI has approved the emergency use of 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG), an anti-Covid drug by DRDO. DRDO is producing this drug in association with Dr. Reddy's Laboratories.

It is being told that with the help of this medicine, people admitted to the hospital will recover quickly. With the help of this medicine, the consumption of oxygen in the covid patients will be reduced. According to the doctors, this drug will prove more beneficial when taking with an empty stomach.

This drug will come in the form of powder which can be taken by mixing it in water.

This drug has been approved to be used after long research. This drug was used on about 200 people, in which it was seen that the recovery rate of people who had taken medicine was two and a half days faster than the common people who were not given this medicine.

This drug could prove to be helpful to our country in the battle against Corona.
